My heart goes out to “L” and others like her who are finding out their lifestyle has them in a place they would rather not be. I know her thoughts, her feelings because I’ve been in those shoes! I understand the regret of decisions I made wishing for a “do over” with feelings of no real hope for change. I’ve lived in the stronghold of bondage, the real fruit of my lifestyle. I experienced the enemy of my soul “gobble up” the entirety of my life. Whether we choose the lifestyle or it was thrust upon us, there is a way of escape (1 Coe 10:13)and the Lord has been planning for our release before time began.

At the same time I’m really excited that she “wants out”. Surely that desire to want out is the Lord’s words to her. As I minister to the overwhelming needs in my little world I MUST meditate on what our Lord says about the need more than the insurmountable needs of humanity facing me. To ensure my effectiveness to my fellow man, my primary focus must be on the Lord and what He is saying over this situation. I must bring back to my remembrance that He is altogether willing and able to deliver hurting humanity. The definitive and guaranty of His words are the foundation in which humanity (“L”) can be freed from this life of bondage, only apart from His words lays hopelessness.

The power that resides in His words is more than able to bring lasting Godly change in ANY life. Everything that has ever been made was made through His word John 1:3, Gen 1. Everything that was made came out of God’s mouth … everything not a few but the totality of creation issued forth from His mouth. Somehow if I can hear what God is saying over my situation, I can get what He is saying to happen in my life. To me … that is hope!

How does God speak in the earth today, He speaks through me and every believer on the face of the earth. God created us to be living beings Gen 2:7. That phrase living being is better translated as speaking spirit. I am a speaking spirit and because I’m in right relationship with the Lord and I hear His voice I can say His words and see life come into my realm. Jesus said in John 6:63 “My words are spirit and they are life”, His words transform nature. The words that come out of Jesus ‘ mouth start as audio but change their natural form to spirit and life form. His words change their form to not any ole spirit but Holy Spirit, not any ole life but Zoe life(life as God has it)! His words are still creative and because He lives in me He creates through me! When I hear His words or see His action over my life’s struggles I can say what He says and do what He does and my words transform from audio words into Holy Spirit manifestations and my actions transform into God like life to the recipients.

Real lasting change starts with my personal relationship with the Lord, my ears that hear His words and my boldly proclaiming what He says and does. I must remind myself to say what He says and believe in the power of His words.
